Coming soon

The rules below are final, but this game cannot be played here yet. See what you can play now.

How it works

A low-intensity, cooperative mode: the Game Master issues a stream of small observation and sensory challenges, and players complete them in the space they are standing in. Find bark with two different textures. Name four sounds you can hear right now. Find something older than you are. It is the gentlest game in the set and the one that proves the theme hardest, because none of it can be done from a sofa. It also works for two players, in a small garden, in fifteen minutes.

Roles

  • Explorermin 2 · no cap · default

Completes challenges and shows the group what they found.

  • Scribemin 0 · max 2

Holds the phone, reads challenges aloud, and marks them complete for the group.

  • “Look for the smallest living thing you can see without moving your feet.”

Inherent risks

  • Challenges invite players to touch plants, which may sting, scratch, or irritate skin.
  • Looking for small things at ground level means crouching near litter, glass, or waste.
  • A challenge phrased loosely may lead a player to taste or smell something unknown.
  • Searching while looking down means not seeing obstacles at head height.
